Inexpensive Evergreen Options
These are items that are always acceptable gifts, and I am happy to receive multiple copies of the exact same one, so you cannot go wrong with them. I cannot overstate that these are things that I will enjoy getting.
Coffee is always a great option. If I pick coffee for myself, I tend to pick whole bean, light to medium roast, single original, ethically sourced coffee. The only one I have a really strong preference is the whole bean.
Hot Sauce is a fantastic option. I like exploring lots of different kinds.
Gift Cards are great. Steam, Amazon, and RedBubble are the ones that I use the most.
Socks - Men's size 13.
Something homemade - a drawing, a scarf, a craft of some kind, a baked good; they're all wonderful.
Splurges
Lego because I am still a kid at heart. I'm a fan of the flowers and the architecture sets, but honestly I will build anything.
Coffee paraphernalia to go with what I have. I frequently use an Aeropress, a good french press, and a Hario V60 pourover. I have a great scale and a great grinder. Anything that goes with any of the brewers, or something like a coffee mug is a great idea.
A Pocket Knife - I have an exceptionally good swiss army knife, but I'm always open to having another good knife, preferably a folding, locking knife that is easy to open.
Board Games
I'm "the board game guy" I guess. I'm happy to receive games, but I do have a good supply of games already that I am trying to make it through, and we tend to play the same six. However, there are some games on my list that I would like to acquire at some point.
- The Castles of Burgundy: Special Edition
- Lords of Waterdeep: Scoundrels of Skullport
- Everdell
- Pandemic Legacy
